Torn

I am torn.  Believe me when I say that I used to be really into photography.  I would do anything to just stop what I was doing and drive to an abandoned farm far, far away.  It was what I did.  I loved it.  Then college happened.  They didn't offer any photography classes for me to take.  So I stopped.  Just like that.  It just never has been the same. 

I used to do dark room photography.  I am so glad I started on flim.  It has taught me so much!  Anyways, to the point.  I am buying a new lens for my Nikon D40!  I want to get a fixed lens.  Either a 35mm f/1.8 or f/1.4 OR the 50mm f/1.8.

Any suggestions while I start this quest?
